Can I e-file 1099s directly from FlipperForce?

No direct e-filing, but FlipperForce exports a CSV of vendor data and totals you can map into the IRS IRIS portal template or hand to your accountant.

FlipperForce does not submit directly to the IRS, but we provide a CSV export with the data you need for e-filing.

How the e-filing process works

  1. Mandatory e-filing. Per IRS rules, if you are filing for 10 or more recipients you are required to e-file. Paper filing is not an option at that volume.

  2. The IRS IRIS portal. The IRS provides a free web portal called IRIS, the Information Returns Intake System, which lets you bulk upload 1099 data using a CSV spreadsheet.

  3. Data mapping. The FlipperForce export includes core vendor info (TIN, name, address) and total compensation. Because the IRS requires specific column headers and formatting, use the export as your source file and copy your data into the official IRS CSV template.

Why use the export

Instead of typing every vendor's name, address and dollar amount into the IRS site one at a time, you map columns from your export into the IRS template. That reduces typos and ensures your totals match your accounting records.

FlipperForce does not provide tax advice. Confirm your filing obligations with a certified tax professional.
