FlipperForce gives you four ways to get expenses into a project. Most investors use more than one, depending on where the expense came from.
1. Manual entry
Add a transaction directly in the Expense Tracker. Best for one-off expenses and anything you want coded precisely as you enter it.
2. AI Bulk Expense Importer
Upload a file and let the AI transcribe and categorize it. Best when you are catching up on a month of spending at once. It accepts raw CSVs and PDF bank statements with no template required, and handles retailer purchase history from Home Depot or Lowe's, exports from QuickBooks or Xero, bank and credit card statements, and miscellaneous spreadsheets.
3. Receipt Inbox and AI Receipt Analyzer
Snap a photo of a receipt on site with the FlipperForce Field mobile app, or upload files in bulk from the web app. Receipts land in your Receipt Inbox, where the AI transcribes the vendor, date, total and itemized line items.
Best for job site purchases, and for teams where someone in the field captures receipts and a bookkeeper processes them later.
4. Public API
Log expenses programmatically from an outside application. This route requires development work or an AI agent.
Which should I use?
A single purchase at your desk: manual entry
A receipt in your hand on the job site: mobile app and Receipt Inbox
A month of card transactions or a Home Depot export: bulk importer
Expenses that originate in another system you control: Public API
